Update – Civic Legal – National Finalist – Boutique Law Firm of the Year

Civic Legal is the sole Western Australian finalist in the category of Boutique Law Firm of the Year in the Australian Law Awards 2018, hosted by Lawyers Weekly, Australia’s leading legal news source.

The category of Boutique Law Firm of the Year recognises firms which demonstrate:

  • professional excellence in legal practice;
  • innovation;
  • positive client outcomes;
  • advancement of the legal profession; and
  • corporate social responsibility.

Anthony Quahe, Managing Principal of Civic Legal said he was humbled by the announcement.

Civic Legal offers litigation and advisory services to the State, local government and commercial sectors in Western Australia, and is the WA member of the Ally Law global legal network.

The recognition of Civic Legal reinforces the strength of the brand in connecting with the community and engaging with its clients,” he added.

The 18th annual Australian Law Awards, in partnership with UNSW Law, recognises the outstanding contribution of Australia’s top lawyers and legal firms across 33 categories. Winners in the individual categories will automatically be shortlisted for the coveted Lawyers Weekly Excellence Award.

Lawyers Weekly editor, Emma Ryan, said this year’s Australian Law Awards is set to be the biggest yet.

The Australian Law Awards is the pinnacle of events for the nation’s legal profession,” Ms Ryan said.

This year’s finalists radiate an outstanding level of professionalism, dedication and drive to take the business of law to greater heights, from the managing partners and general counsel to the barristers, legal scholars and young guns.

The winners will be announced at a black-tie awards dinner on Friday, 31 August 2018 at The Star, Sydney.
